Welcome
Visitors, please fill out the Connection Card from the seat rack in front of you and place it in the offering bag. Following the morning service, we would love to meet with you in the Guest Room to the left of the Sanctuary, where we have refreshments waiting.
Communion
This morning we invite all who follow Jesus to join us as we celebrate Communion.
Angel Tree
When Mom or Dad is in prison, it’s the children who do hard time. But you can let them know they aren’t forgotten. You can give the child of a prisoner the joy of Christmas this year. Pick up an angel ornament from the Angel Tree in the Foyer, then sign out your angel. Return your wrapped gift to the Evangel Christmas tree with the peel-and-stick angel tag attached. Contact the Church Office at 385-1815 if you have questions.
Vertical Youth Church Volunteer
We Need Your HELP! Vertical Youth Church is looking for adult volunteers to help with the youth ministry at Evangel Assembly on Sunday Nights and Wednesday Nights, as well as outings and special events. You will need to complete an application and background screening consent to apply. If you are single, or a couple, and would like to make a difference in the lives of teens, please contact Pastor Ryan at ryanforkel@evangelag.org, or call the Office at 385-1815.
Building Renovations
Cash gifts: $2,008 (as of November 9)
We have installed a new drop ceiling in our Fellowship Hall. The new “Tray-style” ceiling adds sixteen inches of head-room in the center area, which was greatly needed. The cost is approximately $10,000. Additionally, we will soon replace the asphalt roofs over the administrative area, the baptismal, and the television control room, with steel roofs to match our other buildings. The estimated cost to do this is $32,000. We need your help to pay for these projects! Please make your check payable to Evangel Assembly Vision Fund. Thank you!
Royal Ranger Pow Wow
“Evangel Royal Rangers Outpost 61 had the best campsite for the third straight year at Pow Wow 2008! We had 16 Royal Rangers and 11 Commanders and dads. The theme was “Knights of the Roundtable” and we had many interesting activities including a stick fight demonstration (safer than a sword fight), games, Fear Factor and hot dog eating contests, the FCF village, roasting a pig, a flag retirement ceremony, a medieval dinner (with no plates or utensils), and the council fire, which included a FCF buckskin ceremony, a fire eater, and a devotion by “King” Bobby Thompson. We also had devotions on Saturday morning and Sunday morning. Thank you to the Commanders and dads who helped make this a success and to the mini motor coach drivers.” - Commander Hurley
Coffee
Did you know that we have coffee available each Sunday morning in the Fellowship Hall? Come try our hot and iced coffee beverages. We start serving at 9:00 a.m.
Thank You
“Dear Evangel Family, I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation for all your prayers, love, phone calls, visits, cards, and encouragement during the loss of my husband, John Beall. I would also like to thank the church family for preparing, serving, and cleaning up after the family / friends meal that was provided after the service...and a special thank you to Pastors Todd and Lecce and Charlie for the music. John was such a special person who touched so many lives in a positive way with his wonderful sense of humor and his love for the Lord which he often showed by sharing Him with others and by loving everybody. My faith has only grown stronger through this part of my journey knowing that he is with our Lord today. I am trusting God and looking to Him for all the good things that will come from John’s journey through life with Jesus as His Savior. Without your support and the Lord, I could not make it. I am so thankful that the Lord has been a very present help in my trouble.” Letha Beall and family
