When you arrive at Evangel Assembly, you will be greeted by smiling faces. It’s our mission and intention to make everyone feel at home and we hope that your very first impression is a warm one. you can expect the service to last about 1 hour and 15 minutes, fantastic kids and youth programs, and helpful hosts available to answer any questions you might have.
Where is Evangel?
We are located in northwest Tallahassee on the corner of High Road and Old Bainbridge Road.
What should I wear?
Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Here at Evangel, we have a "come as you are" mentality. People wear everything from business casual to shorts and sandals. Feel free to leave the tie or high heel shoes at home. It’s okay.
Where can I get more information?
We would love to give you a gift for being with us in service. Drop by The "Welcome Home" Wall, which is located to the left of Guest Services in our foyer. One of our guests host would love to receive your connection card and have the opportunity to speak with you and answer any questions you might have about Evangel.
What About My Children?
While you are enjoying an exciting worship service, your children are being well-cared for in a safe and clean, age-appropriate environment. We have classes for infants through fifth grade. We have children's Groups during the Sunday Group hour (9:30 a.m.) and we also provide nursery and age-appropriate classes on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m.
What do you have for Students?
Our students are a top priority at Evangel. We have more than you can imagine. Middle School and High School students can participate in a Sunday student group at 9:30 a.m. where students discuss a wide range of topics. Also, our students have a corporate worship service of their own every Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. in the youth room.
Will I be singled out?
We understand that trying out a church for the first time can be overwhelming. We don't make you wear a visitor badge or stand up. We want you to remain as anonymous as you want to, but we encourage you to visit our church over several weeks to see what's going on at Evangel. We would ask that once you feel comfortable, fill out a connection card and visit the "Welcome Home" Wall, which is located to the left of Guest Services in our foyer to receive a gift.
How do I join Evangel?
Although membership isn't mandatory for you to attend, we do encourage everyone who calls Evangel home to become a covenant partner (member) of Evangel. There are several "on ramps" to becoming a member. To learn more about joining Evangel, we invite you to join our Pastors Connect Class. There are no obligations if you don't feel it's for you. In Pastors Connect, you will find out where we've been, where we are going and why we do the things we do at Evangel. At the conclusion of the class, you get the opportunity to join the church.
